I was first introduced to Greg Jones and the team at Nene property back in early 2018 and since that time we have work together on several projects which have included replacement floor covering, LED lighting, the installation of new bathrooms / wet rooms, new kitchens, the adaption and refurbishment of residential care homes, refurbishment of large office building and college strip out and refurbishment works etc.

On most of these jobs we have had to work too some very tight timelines and I can honestly say that Greg and his team have never failed to deliver on time, even when that has meant he and the team have had to work late into the evening and / or over weekends. As with most projects it is rarely ever plain sailing, however when we have come up against unforeseen obstacles and unknowns Greg and his team have been quick to bring solutions to the table that have allowed us to move the job forward.

I have also always found Nene to be sensitive and sympathetic to the needs of Sense, the services we provide and the needs of the people Sense support. The standard of workmanship is always good and if there is ever any snagging work required then it is always dealt with quickly and without any fuss.

As for Health & Safety, everything is always well managed and documented and the work sites are always well organised with any disruption or mess kept to a minimum.

Greg and the team at Nene property provide a first-class service, they are reliable, polite, respectful, they offer competitive quotes, turn out first class work and are easy to work and get along with and I have no hesitation in recommending Nene property for any building maintenance or project work.

In my capacity as Maintenance/Facilities Manager for a Social landlord (the YMCA), we had struggled for many years to find good reliable contractors to undertake our maintenance and refurbishment projects.

Being a charity, we were always out to achieve the best value for every £ we spent and regrettably had been let down in the past by some bigger contractors who did not share our values and expectations.

15 years ago, the YMCA acquired a 3 bed property intended for Social housing clients that required refurbishment. Neneprop came in (through recommendation) and this was their first project to refurbish this property to the specification outlined. The house was completed on time and within budget and we were not disappointed with any aspect of the work, this was the start of the partnership arrangement.

Since this small project Neneprop has delivered several refurbishment projects ranging from £100K to £250K throughout Cambridgeshire and their standards have been maintained and improved especially around H&S and CDM. Contracts were negotiated, planned and developed and all aspects of site management were undertaken from start to finish by the contractor where attention to detail, H&S and standard of finish were always to the exact specification for the project.

Neneprop while managing each project, were always open to changes from original design and specification to help The YMCA achieve best results. They believe in the customer is the client, so each project become a real partnership working arrangement with regular site meetings, phone and email conversations to help achieve best results and ensure future projects were of benefit to both parties.

Importantantly for The YMCA was the respect their workforce showed to our young residents some of whom could be very challenging in their behaviours and attitudes, the contractor’s teams were aware of our policies and procedures for dealing with young adults and ensured were adhered to.

In the latter part of 2022, we chose Nene Property Solutions to be the main contractor, to both extend and remodel our family home – and we are delighted that we made that choice.
